With a machine width of 998 mm, the JUKI RX-8 concentrates high-speed chip placement into a compact section of the SMT line. Its P20 planet-head system achieves up to 100,000 CPH under optimum conditions, with specified placement accuracy of ±40 μm at Cpk ≥1.
Built around small-component placement
The RX-8 handles components up to 5 × 5 mm and 3 mm high. Its rotating-head arrangement supports repeated pickup and placement from a single reel, making it suited to assemblies with large quantities of small components.
The centering and inspection vision system checks component position before placement. Low-impact placement control reduces mechanical stress when mounting on flexible circuits or handling delicate parts.
Production monitoring and line integration
Trace Monitor supports placement-quality monitoring during production. Compatibility with JaNets and electric tape feeders connects the machine with JUKI production-management and component-supply systems.
Up to 56 feeder inputs are available when using RF08AS feeders. The board-handling range reaches 510 × 450 mm under the specified long-board operating conditions.
