The EKRA X4 Professional controls two parts of the printing process separately: substrate alignment and squeegee pressure.

Its EVA vision system uses upward- and downward-looking cameras to locate stencil and substrate fiducials. Two independently controlled pneumatic print heads then maintain the selected pressure during the print stroke.

The machine prints solder paste or adhesive over a format up to 460 × 460 mm. Its flexible holder accepts common stencil frames up to 740 mm without an additional adapter.

The standard cycle is 12 seconds plus printing time. Optional HSP transport reduces this to eight seconds plus printing. Automatic understencil cleaning and 2½D post-print inspection are additional configurations, rather than standard features on every used X4.
