The SIPLACE SX2 can divide a board’s placement work between different head types. A CP20 head handles small-component volume, while CPP and TWIN configurations cover other package sizes and handling requirements.
The CPP head is especially useful when successive jobs contain different component mixes. Software selects collect-and-place, pick-and-place or mixed operation, changing how the head works without physically replacing it.
This gives the SX2 several ways to distribute placements within a production program. A board dominated by small passives places different demands on the machine from one containing more ICs and connectors; the head combination determines how that work is shared.
