The BTU Pyramax 150N z12 provides twelve upper and twelve lower heating zones across a 3,810 mm heated tunnel. Its longer thermal path gives process engineers more scope to develop a soldering profile while setting conveyor speed around the required production rate.
Air or nitrogen operation allows the process atmosphere to be selected for the soldering requirement. Nitrogen reduces oxygen exposure during reflow, although the operating oxygen level and gas consumption depend on the oven configuration, settings and product flow.
The published configuration includes two upper and two lower cooling zones. Cooling deserves attention alongside heating, particularly where the assembly requires a controlled temperature decline before handling.
We discuss the 150N z12 around the board profile and line loading. Oxygen monitoring, flux management, centre support and conveyor options are itemised when fitted, allowing the offered oven to be assessed against both process and installation requirements.
