AB420 stencil inspection equipment belongs at the tooling-control stage of SMT printing. Its inspection object is the solder paste stencil, rather than the printed PCB or assembled components.
Stencil inspection requirements depend on what needs to be verified: aperture geometry, aperture condition and agreement with the approved stencil design are separate inspection tasks. The machine’s installed imaging system and software determine which checks can be performed.
