Sony’s Planet Head gives the SI-F130AI its characteristic placement motion. The rotary mechanism turns in either direction, allowing the head to choose a shorter movement sequence as it works through the placement program.
A closed-loop rotary servo controls the planetary gears. This brings position feedback directly into the head’s motion control, coordinating rotation with component handling.
The F130AI belongs to Sony’s compact F-series modular mounters. Its rotary head is the main feature separating it from machines built around a conventional inline nozzle arrangement. Feeder and vision specifications depend on the equipment fitted to the individual machine.
